چکیده

Günther et al . report that their control experiment using randomized magnetic field gradient sequences disagreed with findings we had reported linear gradients. However, show measurements in our laboratory are consistent both methods.

Molecular Dynamics of Chemical Reactions

Molecular beam and spectroscopic techniques allow detailed study of many dynamical properties of single reactive collisions. The chemical scope of these methods is now very wide and includes certain unimolecular and termolecular reactions as well as bimolecular reactions and energy transfer processes. Results for more than 50 families of A + BC — AB + C atom transfer reactions reveal simple imp...

Chemical-biological reactions common to teratogenesis and mutagenesis

Cytotoxic chemicals have in common the ability to act specifically on cells in cycle. Bacteria are more sensitive in the exponential growth phase than when growing slowly in media. Similar observations have been made on a variety of systems ranging from bacteria, yeast, higher plants and invertebrates to vertebrates including primates. The embryo and fetus are highly susceptible to cytotoxic ag...

Comparing bee species responses to chemical mixtures: Common response patterns?

Pollinators in agricultural landscapes can be exposed to mixtures of pesticides and environmental pollutants. Existing mixture toxicity modelling approaches, such as the models of concentration addition and independent action and the mechanistic DEBtox framework have been previously shown as valuable tools for understanding and ultimately predicting joint toxicity. Here we apply these mixture m...

Response to Comment on ‘ ‘ The Chemical Nature of Phosphorus in Subtropical Lake Sediments ’ ’

Polyphosphate is a quantitatively important and dynamic component of the sedimentary phosphorus in many lakes. Kenney et al. correctly note that we misrepresented their data on polyphosphate in Lake Apopka in our article on the phosphorus composition of subtropical lake sediments, and we regret this error. However, we reiterate that their operationally defined heat extraction procedure overesti...
